@Kiltprotocol uses real-world credentials (e.g passport, driver’s license,etc) to create decentralized identifiers (DIDs) and blockchain based verifiable credentials. This solves enterprise and government requirement of KYC, yet securing user’s data using cryptographic security.

The aim of partnership is to build a blockchain backed KYC/KYB system for international logistic. This way, blockchain technology can be used for; 📍 customer identification, 📍 item/cargo tracking, 📍 overseeing regulatory compliance, 📍 trade document digitalization, etc.

Billions of dollars are lost annually in the logistics and shipping industry. In 2021 alone, over 2,675 containers went missing while sailing. Sometimes, these items lost are due to poor tracking, and that is the foundation for this project with @VodafoneUK and @HapagLloydAG .
