🍪 Information Bites 🍪 Distributed Trust: - One of KILT's main goals is to achieve Distributed Trust. To accomplish this, we need to divide the concept of trust into three parties: the Claimer, Attester, and Verifier. But what do these terms mean? We will answer all of that this week. 😎😎😎 What is a Claimer: - A Claimer is an individual or entity that asserts a claim or statement about their identity or qualifications. The Claimer can use credentials to provide evidence of their claims, which can be verified by third-party entities or systems. 💪 - Anyone can be a Claimer. They simply need to fill out a Ctype and create a Claim. Afterward, they can submit their claim to Attesters for attestation. 📝🔒 - Claimers are a vital part of Self-Sovereign Identity. They have full control over their data and can decide which parts of their data they want to share, where to share it, and how to share it. 🛡️🔐 - Claimers also store their credentials in their wallets, allowing them to choose which credentials they want to provide to a service. 💼💼 - To be a Claimer, you don't need to create an on-chain DID. Claimers can use their account without the need for a chain connection. ⛓️🔓 With KILT's distributed trust you can start controlling your own data. Claim Independence! 🙌✨
